Day 01 Hong Kong/ Delhi 新德里

Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel.
Hotel stay in Delhi.

Day 02 Delhi 新德里

Breakfast at hotel.
Morning full day sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. OLD DELHI - the 300-year-old walled city built by Emperor Shah Jehan in 1648 as his capital and named after him, the Red Fort (closed on Monday) built of red sandstone. Opposite the fort is the black and white onion dome and minarets of the Jama Masjid, the most elegant mosque in India. Then visit Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Afternoon NEW DELHI- the new capital designed by Sir Edward Lutyens. Drive past the Presidential Palace, the Rashtrapati Bhavan and the secretariat buildings - the centre of all government activity and down the main avenue, the impressive Rajpath to the World War I memoral arch, the India Gate. Visit Humayun's Tomb built 1565 AD by his grieving widown Haji Begum, the Qutub Minar, 72 metres high and the ruins of Quwat-ul-Eslam (Light of Islam) Mosque. See Delhi's most curious antique, the uncorroded Iron Pillar, which dates back to the 4th century AD.

Day 03 Delhi - Udaipur by flight

Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning in time transfer to airport to board the flight for Udaipur, meeting and assistance on arrival at Udaipur airport and transfer to hotel.
Lunch at the hotel.
Afternoon half day city tour of Udaipur, a splash of colour in Rajasthan that is brighter when tinged with the tones of local lore and legends. Visit the City Palace, built in 1725, which houses the Dilkhush Mahal, Sheesh Mahal - studded with glittering Belgium Mirrors, Moti Mahal and the Palace of Lord Krishna all of which are ornately decorated. Later visit Jagdish Temple built in 1651 and dedciated to Lord Vishnu, the preserver in the Hindu Trinity of Gods. Also visit Sahelion-Ki-Bari - gardens and fountains. Later drive around the Fatehsagar Lake. Evening boat ride at Lake pichola.

Day 04 Udaipur - Ranakpur - Jodhpur by surface

Breakfast at hotel.
Morning proceed by surface to Jodhpur en-route visit Ranakpur the most magnificent Jain Temples in India. It is an extensive complex covering 3,600 sq. meters and has 29 halls with 1,444 pillars, each unlike the other, intricately covered with delicate carvings, geometrically so designed that if one stands near any pillar, one can see the deity. The central temple is dedicated to Adinath, the Revealer of Truth. The temple was constructed in the early 14th century.
Lunch at hotel Maharani Bagh - Ranakpur.
Arrive Jodhpur and check-in at hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 05 Jodhpur - Jaipur by surface

Breakfast at hotel.
Morning half day city tour visiting Mehrangarh Fort situated on a 125-meter high hill. This is one of the most impressive and formidable structures in Rajasthan. Within the fort are some magnificnet palaces with meticulously carved panels, latticed windows or "Jarokhas" with evocative names. The chambers of Moti Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, the Sileh Khana and the Daulat Khana are noteworthy for the splendour and glamour of a bygone ear. Later visit the Jaswant Thada - a cluster of royal cenotaphs in the white marble built in 1899 AD in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh-II.
Lunch at local restaurant.
After lunch proceed by surface to Jaipur, arrive Jaipur and check in at hotel.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 06 Jaipur

 

Breatfast at hotel.
Morning visit the Amber Fort with elephant ride. Amber is a classic, romantic Rajashani Fort Palace. The rugged, time-ravaged walls of the Fort may not look beautiful from the outside, but the interior is a virtual paradise. Miniatures painted on the walls depict hunting and war scenes, apart from festivals. Precious stones and mirrors are embedded into the plaster. A major attraction at Amber is the Elephant Ride all the way up to the Fort Entrace. This journey on caparisoned elephants is bound to enrich your memories with the Royal lifestyle of the Maharajas and leave you with a truley unforgettable experience. Inside the Fort, visit the Jag Mandir or the Hall of Victory. Inside the Jag Mandir is the famed Sheesh Mahal - a room with all the four walls and ceilling completely embedded with glittering mirror pieces, which were specially imported from Belgium during that period.

Afternoon guided city tour begins with a visit to the Maharaja's City Palace, the former Royal residence, part of it converted into a museum. A small portion is still used by the Royal family of Jaipur. Built in the style of a fortified campus, the palace covers almost one-seventh in area of the city. One of the major attractions in the museum is the portion known as Armoury Museum housing an impressive array of weaponry-pistols, blunderbusses, flintlocks, swords, rifles and daggers. The royal families of Jaipur once used most of these weapons. Later visit the Jantar Mantar, which is the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world. Situated near the gate of the city palace, the observatory has 17 large instruments, many of them still in working condition.

Day 07 Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra by surface

Breakfast at hotel.
Morning proceed by surface of Agra en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri situated around 40km from Agra built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. This was the capital of the Mughal emperor Akbar between 1570 to 1586. Fatehpur Sikri's sprawing structure is made of red sandstone and combines both Hindu and Muslim architecture. The main entrance to this walled city is through the 175 feet Buland Darwaza. The finest monuments within this area are the Diwan-I-Am, Diwan-i-Khas, Panch Mahal, Jama Masjid and Panch Mahal.
Lunch at Hotel Laxmi Niwas-Bharatpur.
Arrive Agra and transfer to hotel. Afternoon city tour of Agra visiting Agra Fort. The foundation was laid by Emperor Akbar in 1565 and continued till the time of Shahjahan. The high red stone monument stretches for around 2.5kms, dominating a bend in the river Yamuna northwest of the Taj Mahal. The palace is a notable for its smooth blending of Hindu and central Asian architectrual styles. The Diwan-i-Am (the hall of publc audiences), the Diwan-i-Khas (the Hall of Private Audience), the Khas Palace (the private palace was used by emperor as a sleeping chamber), the Sheesh Mahal (palace of Mirrors), the Shah Jahani Mahal (Shahjahan's Palace), Jahangiri Mahal (Jahangir's Palace) and the Akbari Mahal (Akbar's palace) are the fascinating palaces inside the fort. From the rear of Diwan-i-Khas a door leads to Mussaman Burj, a two storey pavilion, where Shahjahan was imprisoned by his son Aurangzeb in his old age. From here he caught the last glimpses of Taj Mahal before he died.

Day 08 Agra - Delhi - Departure

Breakfast at hotel.
Morning visit of Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday) which is the seventh wonder of the world, built by Shahjahan as a memoral to his wife Mumtaz Mahal by the banks of river Yamuna. After her untimely death, Shahajahan had her mortal remains buried in this mausoleum. And fater his own demise he was placed to rest next to his beloved queenin the same mausoleum. The Taj has been called the most extravagant monument ever built for the sake of love. The great monument took almost 22 years to build and was completed in 1653. Around 20,000 workers from all over the country and central Asia were recruited to translate this dream into a reality. Lunch at Local restaurant.
Afernoon proceed by surface to Agra, arrive Agra and transfer to hotel /restaurant for dinner.
Evening pick up from the city and transfer to International airport to connect flight for onward journey.

Day 09 Delhi departure

Overnight on board.
Early morning arrival at Hong Kong.
