Zagreb ~ Opatija ~ Pula ~ Rovinj ~ National Park Plitvice ~ Zadar ~ Split ~ Mostar ~ Dubrovnik

Day 01 Zagreb arrival 薩格勒布

Arrival at Zagreb airport. Transfer to hotel.
Dinner and overnight in Zagreb.

Day 02 Zagreb ~ Opatija

Breakfast at hotel.
Morning city tour of Zagreb, including the fortified mediaeval Upper Town, St. Mark's Church with it's colourful roof, the Cathedral of St. Stephen, the Stone Gate, the University and the Croatian National Theatre.

Afternoon drive to Opatija, "The Queen of Tourism" of Croatia. Upon arrival walking tour along the promenade of Opatija, once a resort of the Habsburgs and European Royalty, as well as personalities from the world of culture, such as Gustav Mahler or A.P. Chekhov.

Dinner and overnight in Opatija.

Day 03 Opatija ~ Pula ~ Rovinj ~ Opatija

Breakfast and departure to Pula. Sightseeing tour of Pula includes a visit to the Roman amphitheatre Arean (1st century), one of the best preserved in the world, Triumphal Arch of Sergius, Temple of Augustus, Gate of Hercules and Byzantine chapel of St. Maria Formosa. Continuation to Rovinj, one of the most charming towns in its narrow Medieval streets and warm Mediterranean setting. The main Church of St. Euphemia keeps relics of the saint and presents one of the most beautiful Baroque achievements in Istria. Return to Opatija for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 04 Opatija ~ National Park Plitvice ~ Zadar

Breakfast and departure for Plitvice Lakes, the largest national park in Croatia. The area of Plitvice Lakes was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1979. It is breathtakingly beautiful with its 16 lakes linked by waterfalls and surrounded by dense forests. It will take us almost 4 hours to explore the area by electric boat and minibus and you will need a great deal of film to record a fraction of the beauty around you.

Plitvice Lakes count among Europe's most beautiful national parks. They are situated in the mountainous region of Like, Croatia. A total of 16 lakes lying at different altitudes are separated by travertine barriers and linked by foamy waterfalls and cascades. Their creation is a scientific phenomenon. As the geological process continue today the lakes and waterfalls are continually changing. The beauty of the lakes and caves, forests and meadows, creeks, rivers and cascades as well a rich flora and fauna are a magnet for tourists from around the world.

In the afternoon, we continue to Zadar for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 05 Zadar ~ Split

Breakfast at hotel.

Morning sightseeing of Zadar including the Roman Forum from the 2nd century BC, St. Donatus Church from 09th century, unique round Medieval construction in Dalmatia and the Cathedral of St. Anastasia. Afternoon drive towards Split - a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. The city grew around the palace-house of the Roman Emperor Diocletian, born in the 3rd century. Today within the grounds of the ancient Diocletian's Palace one can admire a beautiful mixture of all styles that makes this city unique and unforgettable. We shall see Diocletian's Palace (3rd century), the Peristyle, the Cathedral of St. Domnius the patron of the town and the Jupiter's Temple. Dinner and overnight in Split.

 

Day 05 Split ~ Mostar ~ Dubrovnik

Breakfast at hotel.

Morning drive towards Mostar, city of contrasts and culture, nested in the deep valley of the river Neretva. The town developed in the 15th century as an Ottoman trading and frontier town and continued its growth in the Austro-Hungarian period. The ancient Turkish houses and the spectacular Old Bridge give Mostar an oriental flavor... The Old Bridge area, with Eastern Ottoman, Mediterranean and Western European architectural features is an outstanding example of a multicultural urban settlement. In the afternoon we continue to Dubrovnik for dinner and overnight.

Day 07 Dubrovnik

Breakfast at hotel.

Morning sightseeing tour of Dubrovnik includes visits to the Franciscan Monastery with one of the oldest pharmacies in the world the Rector's Palace and the Cathedral. We shall also see Orlando's Column, Bell Tower Clock and the Sponza Palace. In the afternoon, we shall have free time for individual visits and leisure. There will be plenty of time for an optional touring on the city walls with their magnificent fortress and towers.

Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik.

Day 08 Dubrovnik Departure

Breakfast at hotel. Free time at leisure till departure transfer to Dubrovnik airport for departure.
You will be transferred to airport for departure.
